The TBAN-Breastfeeding Counselors have gone through intensive training using materials from WABA , WHO and Malaysia MoH. They are also required to ‘attach and shadow’ a trained and certified BFC before they are certified.

TBAN-BFCs are not affiliated or appointed/employed with any confinement-centres

Please go through the list and check which TBAN BFC is closest to you. YOU will have to contact the TBAN-Breastfeeding Counselor yourself either via Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.


Please note that as all TBAN BfCs are full time working mothers, there will be a delayed response to your private messages.


Also note that due to Facebook’s settings, messages from strangers do not land in the Inbox directly. Your message may land in the Other box where all other messages from non-friends goes into. However, your message will be looked into when they are online. Please be patient.

Please do not take advantage of them by asking for free advice. 

The TBAN-BFC have invested time and money in their education.

There is of course no guarantee that the TBAN-BFC will be able to help you 100% successfully breastfeed. There are so many contributing factors that goes into breastfeeding success, and  her recommendations and advice will differ on a case to case basis.

"if your intention is to help people breastfeed, why are you charging for consultation?"

The TBAN-BFC charge for consultation for the same reasons doctors, nurses, teachers, counselors, and even normal office workers charge for theirs. We all have families to provide for, and have invested many years and a lot of money into our education! :-)

1.Face to face 

TBAN-BFC offers breastfeeding counselling at the comfort of your own home. A small fee is charged to cover expenses. Please pay the TBAN-BFC directly when she visits.

Make sure that your baby is hungry during the consultation. (i.e. do not give a bottle no matter what. You can Direct Latch, but absolutely no bottles otherwise baby might be full and asleep, and the TBAN-BFC would not be able to help. Full consultation fee would still be chargeable)

Having more solid knowledge would increase your chance to successfully breastfeed your baby. It would reduce your fears and anxieties about your baby's well-being.
